Since 1994, Majik Video Systems has produced four volumes of New Zealand Railscene each year (March, June, September and December). The Railfan video series covers recent activities of rail operation in New Zealand including Toll Rail, Tranz Scenic passenger services, heritage steam and diesel-electric hauled mainline excursions, locomotive restoration projects, archive footage, operational railway museums and preserved tracks.
